The NC Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) is seeking a short term Senior Agile Coach to support the organizational adoption of Agile and provide training to facilitate organization-wide adoption of Agile
The Senior Agile Coach must be experienced in implementing Agile in complex enterprise environments and coaching teams from the emergent level of Agile awareness to a team that is able to follow the Agile principles consistently across initiatives. This includes implementing Agile process, principles and practices across the department.
Will develop a strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile and provide training to facilitate organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.
Will provide training and guidance to teams of business and IT staff at all levels from leadership to developers, who often may be implementing the Agile methodology for the first time
Should be able to provide disciplined coaching and bring teams quickly through the maturity processes toward become self-sufficient Agile teams.
Should provide support for the development of a sustainable Enterprise Agile Framework
Will focus on improving teams of developers and overall project management staff by increasing collaboration, innovation, and introducing techniques that promote adaptability and flexibility in the face of unpredictable circumstances.
Assist in Agile Iteration and Release Planning. Acts as an effective change agent, improving Scrum practices and delivering higher quality, higher value software more efficiently.
Lead and conduct training at all levels, including DHHS leadership, business and IT Teams
The Senior Agile Coach should have extensive experience educating/mentoring Agile Teams adopt and follow Agile methodology.
Should have extensive experience in facilitating and assessing Scrum Events and Ceremonies.
Experience executing Agile projects in large, complex environments
Experience implementing various Agile Frameworks like Scrum of Scrums, Nexus, SAFE etc…
Experience in structuring Scaled Agile Teams
Agile coaching experience with teams that are new to Agile
Excellent communication and facilitation skills
Have strong project work and project planning experience.
